Wassup?
Well the 1st thing that you would do is get the contact info of your old clients and send them a memo explaining that you are back. Also, yo need to look into heavy promotion to old and new clients. You can't count on the old clients to come running back right away so you always have to target someone new. Give your clients something to remember you by. Even if it's a pen with your contact info on it. people like to feel like they are getting something that no one else is getting. Peace!! :) :) :) 8) 8) 8)

Network, use every opportunity you have

Postby ShearsforHair on Thu Jan 15, 2009 1:19 am

I can't say enough about networking. Use MySpace & Facebook. Don't forget your contacts at church. Market through relatives, friends, and use Craig's List to advertise your comeback and where you will be. It's free! Use it! Highschool sporting events are a great way to get back in the game as well! Be creative! Put up flyers with pull tabs. Offer an introductory cut rate for children! We momma's love that! Sponser a community event or atleast participate.

Barber shops are a gathering place as well as a vocal part of the community. Use your influence to influence others. Pay it forward. February is National Heart Disease Awareness Month. Pick up some pamplets from them (they are free) and give them to your clients and potential clients, after all you could save a life!

What a great way to make a come back! Good luck to you!

I agree

I think that is so true. After you apply all of that I have to say that time and word of mouth will work the best of all. Treat every cut like your first and your last. I think generally treating people right as well as earning respect for your gift will get out to others and in time you will be back in the game. Just stick with it cause it wont be overnight.
