Techniques on Keeping and/or creating a good shop atmosphere

Balanced Atmospere

I believe that the shop atmosphere is almost more important than the actual cuts themselves. Having a balanced enviroment will keep the clientel diverse as well as comfortable. Balanced as a lil street (hood figure), the 2 holy bible guys, the old school, and the cat thats against the grain. Conversation in the shop is what makes the shop the the cornerstone of any community. If you have to much of either your shop will have a biased clientel and may make it hard for one or the other types of client to fit in or feel comfortable. Having a balance will be a sure way to keep each other in order. At our shop we are very balanced and it makes for the best shop talk and customer relations. Hey i like this set up but I think it needs a place for some healthy shop talk which is what part of our job is as barber, cosmetologist. So how is the shop balance where you are and what would you fall under. Im the against the grain cat at our shop.
